Little beauty diary : d.i.y videos

Hey, babes! here are couple of my d.i.y videos on Youtube.

DIY Remake your Lipstick

This is what i usually do to remake my lipsticks. Some lipsticks are too light or too bright and even too pasty on the lips. This is what i usually do to remake my lipsticks. Some lipsticks are too light or too bright and even too pasty on the lips. Rather than letting them sit in the drawer collecting dust, i usually melt the colors together to create a new color...
You can also use this project for the gifts idea..=)

Little beauty diary : Two Tone.

Hello, beautiful people! Went out with my husband's family for a small casual dinner last tuesday.  I paired up this mustard colored lace top with blue toned leopard . I finally wore this mint colored bib-necklace i got for my birthday. For the summer touch, i included my (handwaved) Rattan clutch i got from the market in Bali, Indonesia. Love the uniqueness of it! Got a lot of compliments for this clutch..thumbs up for Indonesian crafters!

Blue leopard patterned skirt : random boutique Indonesia . Find similar here

I slept with the high bun the night before, i got this messy bed-hair wave as the result! Just add some hairspray and ready to go!No-heat tools needed.

A simple makeup with loads of eyeliner on my upper lashes line, on the bottom i applied the maybelline color tattoo cream eyeshadow in edgy emerald..

face products :

I admit the color and the shine effects are pretty, but it didn't stay that long on my lips, i had to re-apply it again and again through the night...*sigh

This frappe helped me with my energy that night! *slurp

much love!

d.i.y LOVE wooden sign

All you need are a wooden plate or anything that thick enough to stand, some chains or glitters, glue, scissor, brush and paints.  You will also need the picture frame stand ( its optional).  Other than that, you also need a wooden alphabets, or any material such as art&craft foams or tin materials ( maybe cut the empty can of soda drink or cookies jar )...=)

I found this wooden sign at Walmart. Check your art&craft store to find more alternative. You could also use a thick card board and cut it into any shape that you prefer. Paint the basic color on it. I chose Gold because i will make a vintage theme of LOVE sign.

Glue the small chains all around the wooden edge. ( if you don't think you like the chains material, you can play with some beads or small stones from your backyard ). It is optional.

Now paint the wooden alphabets. Choose your favorite word or saying or even the initials. Let them dry.

To make some vintage effects, paint over the gold-ish tones of color or you can just play with glitters!

Glue the word or saying or the initials on the wooden plate.

Now you have a cute LOVE sign on the table! it is perfect for a gift too!

You can play with the colors if you feel like it! You can do other design on the back side too. Bored with the other, just turn the other! Maybe the other side would be a christmas theme and the other would be a Valentine's day theme...Save big money on decorations! =)

Happy Trying!

XOXO

d.i.y Valentine's day room diffuser

d.i.y Valentine's day room diffuser

Here is my another favorite d.i.y project for Valentine's day.
The Heart Shapes Room diffuser!
So, here is my idea of re-using the room diffuser.
Transform it into something cute that you might not find it at the stores!
Cheap and fun to make too!

Cut the Heart shapes from wool felt fabric. You can choose any kind of colors you love. I go with simple classic color of Valentine's day. Cut into some different size. Small and large or medium ones. Make sure they have their pair. We will glue two of heart shape together. Wool felt absorb the diffuser oil easily.
You can also cut the flower shape or maybe your loved ones initial..;)

Prepare the empty ( or your recent plain diffuser ) diffuser bottle and the sticks. Cut the sticks in short and long size. Fill the oil inside the bottle.

Glue the felt heart shapes together, leave the room on the bottom for the stick ( you can also work straight glue it on the stick)

Glue the heart shape on the stick. let it dry.

Fill in the bottle with the heart shape sticks.

This step is optional : add a big heart shape on the front of the bottle.

Now you have a cute bottle of hearts! And you can also smell love in the air!! =)

Happy trying!

d.i.y Valentine's day card design ideas

d.i.y Valentine's day card

One of my favorite day to celebrate is Valentine's day! I love decorating the whole place in love signs or heart shaped decorations. Fill the air with some love!

One thing that i love doing is making my own valentine's day card for my loved ones. I prefer handmade, because it feels like we put ourself into it when we do handmade. Every seconds of doing it has the own story and thoughts. You just cant stop thinking or imagine how the person who wil receive it will feel or react. Putting your heart and effort to do something for someone you care about, is something that money cant buy..

Here is my cheap, easy and lovely card cover ideas :

step 1 :Choose any card paper or anything thicker ( art and craft store sells many of paper type that you can use it for your card). Cut it into the card size that you want.

step 2 : Choose the material that easy to work with. I am using mixing materials such as craft foam and wool felt. Cut it into the heart shape. Any size would work, depends on what you want.

Step 3 : To make a 3d heart shape design, glue the foam heart shape and felt heart step together.

step 4 :  While waiting until the hear shape dries, cut the wool felt, same size and shape with the card. Glue them together.

step 5 : Glue the heart shape on the card.

Step 6 : Cut the thin lines of felt to frame the card.

Now you have one simple card cover design!

Want to be more playful?
Check these design ideas :

Just add some letters to make it pop! either it says I heart You, or even both of you initial.

Heart shapes lover and cant get enough of them? Cut bunch of the shapes and spread them on the card cover!

Edgy look but still cute? Add some fun material such as Jeans material.

pssst! you can actually use this design for your home decorations. Put them in the frame to add some cuteness inside your room!

Happy trying! be creative! xoxo!!

DIY wooden initial necklace

I made this for my hubby..awww!haha..well actually i found some left over wooden alphabet i got it from Walmart for my Fashion week projects.
Thought it would be cute to make an initial necklace from it.

I chose "M" for my husband's name. Painted it in vintage style color, i chose light pastel green and gold hint.

Choose your fave inital, paint it in your fave color, you can also decorate it with any drawing you like.

after it dries, you can easily make the holes on it using any tools you can find. I used a big craft needle to do it.  Add the necklace! Voila!!!

Happy Trying!!=)

d.i.y nail art : Starry night

Look up the sky and see the stars in the dark of the night..

First, apply two coats of L'oreal pro manicure nail polish in Afterhours. Wait until it dries, then coat it with one or two coats of wet n wild shine nail polish in Hallucinate. Wait until dry, real dry.

use the tape to cover your nail, but not the tip of your nail. This is to create a neat arch on your tip when you apply the gold color. I choose the bold golden color ( Pure ICE magnetic attraction nail polish in Tottaly Amp ).

Wait until dry, then starting to put the accent..( nail artist stick on nail accents, i got it at Walmart for about $3).

d.i.y nail art

Golden Year

Been crazy about nail designs lately, i have been trying to do this and that to make some unique designs. I got lots of likes on beautypedia on nails design category. Glad people liked it..=)

So, i decided to give another try inspired by chains ( again!!) but, i chose different color nail polish for this project.

I picked up Pure Ice Nailpolish in Totally Amp ( this is from their new magnetic collections,   it supposed to build the magnetic effect on it, they have small bar of magnet attached to the cap of the bottle, when you apply 2 coats or more on your nail, before it dries, put your nail under this small magnetic bar that supposed to give the design after 15-20 seconds...)

check this blogger about this nail polish :

Well, i failed big time..lol
I think it was because i didnt wait for 15-20 seconds under the magnetic bar, i think because i just could not wait that long..haha

but, i would love to try again anyway..
ow, and Essie actually just came up with their new products related to magnetic designs :

ok, back to the chain nail art design, i put 2 coats of Pure ICE nail polish, wait until it dries, put the Revlon Top Coat, wait until it dries, then using the Acrylic Nails Glue on the tip of the nail and add some chains. Easy!!

For another gold color alternative, try L'oreal nail polish in Because You're Worth it!

Happy trying! =)
