Little beauty diary : Two Tone.

Hello, beautiful people! Went out with my husband's family for a small casual dinner last tuesday.  I paired up this mustard colored lace top with blue toned leopard . I finally wore this mint colored bib-necklace i got for my birthday. For the summer touch, i included my (handwaved) Rattan clutch i got from the market in Bali, Indonesia. Love the uniqueness of it! Got a lot of compliments for this clutch..thumbs up for Indonesian crafters!

I slept with the high bun the night before, i got this messy bed-hair wave as the result! Just add some hairspray and ready to go!No-heat tools needed.

Time for summer! Bare your skin for a natural glowing skin and make a best friend with the hot weather. Getting ready to hit those SPF products to protect the harmful sun rays. Natural colors with the hint of fun color such as peach or coral colors would be perfect for an everyday natural look. 

Here are my choices : 

E.L.F 100's eyeshadows palette

Some colors from this palette that i have been loving for everyday look. Nothing too bright but still giving a touch of the summer theme. 

Rimmel London Match perfection blush in Medium 

Fresh colors for the cheek! Three shades in one ( blush, bronzer and highlighter). Matte blush but not the bronzer and the highlighter. You might want to skip those shimmery bronzer and the highlighter if you have a big pores. But, when you mix them together, they create a natural looking pinched cheek. 

Revlon super lustrous lipgloss in Coral reef

This coral colored lipgloss would be so cute for this summer. Cannot go wrong with a cuteness during the summer, right? the consistency is perfect, no sticky feeling that makes your hair stick on your lips when the win blows, no tacky feeling on your lips, friendly smells and last long on the lips. Little Beauty Diary : Skin care routine -night time-

Hey there,

so, when the night comes, i put more effort to take care of my skin. When we sleep, skin cell regenerate faster and repair themselves better than a day time.  Based on researches, the skin cells have a peeking time  around 11pm to 4am! During the time, the skin produce more collagen and new skin cells are born..thats why, taking off your makeup before going to sleep would be so helpful for the skin improvement, it helps the skin breath through the unclogged pores and ready to reproduce the collagens and repair themselves.

Here are my night time skin routine :

1. To prepare my skin at night, first time i do is washing my face with Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily scrub. This product contains the small beads that works very well to exfoliates the dead skin. It also has a Salicylic acid for the acne-prone skin treatment.

2. After washing my face, i apply the toner. Toner replaces your skin ph balance after you get rid of the oil with your face wash products. It also deep cleansing your pores and refresh the skin. 

I have been using Neutrogena Pore refining toner for more than a month now and have noticed that my (big) pores on my cheek area has shrunk a little bit..happy to say that!yay!

3. I am still using my dermatologist night creams to moisturize my face skin. I have a very sensitive acne-prone skin thats why i have to be careful with the face products. These creams that i got from my dermatologist are the night cream #1 and #2, all i have to do is mix them together before applying them on my face. I also mix a little bit of CERAVE facial moisturizer pm.

4. ROC Retinol Correxion Sensitive Night cream ( made in France ).  I use this cream to fix/prevent the wrinkle. Well, old lady like me, need it, huh? i actually do not have a heavy wrinkle around my face, but i do some fine lines around my face especially around my eyes area. so, to prevent more fine lines appearance, i use Retinol correxion every other day . At least 2 times every week. I apply a small tiny amount of this cream on my face and my neck area before putting my night moisturizer. 

This cream is a little bit thick. So, for a small amount of this cream, it covers a whole face area. It has a slightly smell of thick moisturizer ( you can feel that you are wearing a thick moisturizer on your face after you apply it on your face too )...You might also feel a little bit tingling sensation on your face but they claimed it to be normal. For the result , in the morning i feel my skin is tighter and the skin look more healthy dewy.

This one is for the Retinol-sensitive skin. You can also find this cream for normal skin, for a day time, deep wrinkle treatment, etc. 

5. Eye Cream. This is a must! I am impressed by how this ( walmart brand) Equate eye cream works on my skin. For a price wise and ingredients comparison to L'oreal or Olay eye cream, this cream is works good for me! I usually have a dry, flaky and wrinkly under eye area, but since i found this cream, it helps me a lot with my wrinkles..I feel my under eye area become firmer and no longer dry..

Tips : Using your ring finger to apply (dab) the eye cream is much better ( some says its a myth!) but, the ring finger has the right amount of pressure to apply the cream without pulling or tugging the skin compares to the other fingers...

ESSENTIALS : 

For an extra care for my skin, i also apply some moisturizer on my body, hair and lips before going to sleep. I have been loving JOSIE MARAN 100% Argan oil for an extra moisturizer. I mix it with my body moisturizer and leave some on my tip of my hair.

Clearasil Daily clear vanishing acne treatment cream - my best friend when i have a pimple or zits. Works like a magic for me in only 24 hr! -

Lubriderm Advanced Therapy Lotion - Dry skin bothers me a lots when it is starting to get itchy, pretty much wakes me up!!! This is the only lotion so far that gives me an extra moisturizer through the night...

NIVEA lip butter * Raspberry Rose kiss - Love the smells! very moisturizing and it makes my lips so smooth in the morning.

Little Beauty Diary: Nail Polish diary

Hey, cuties! just wanted to share some nail polish swatches and what do i think about them. Enjoy!=)

PURE ICE NAIL POLISH :

 # HIT THE FLOOR :

A bright red (glitter) with blue undertone in it. I would say, this color is very sexy red color that you could wear it for the night out scenes. Sexy yet fun! This is one of my favorite color so far.
Power staying of this nail polish is around 5 to 7 days. Depends on what is your activity. I use my hand to wash dishes and some handmade stuff. But, since it is glitter based, i think it stays longer than just a non-glitter nail polish. What interesting about this glittery red nail polish is, when the light hits the glitter, it reflects the light perfectly, make the color pop more. Just adorable!

# BARE IT ALL :

A gold tone glitter nail polish. It is not a sheer gold glitter nail polish tho, it is packed with a tiny gold glitter that make the full look of golden nail. It creates a sand-y textures once it dries. The color is so bright, creates a very shimmery look on the nail. love!

#LOVE :

This is not a matte pink color. It has a small amount shiny effects on it, seems like a hint of silver in it. Staying power for non-glitter nail polish for PURE ICE products is around 3 days and it starting to chip easily. I suggest a top coat to make them last longer.

#PLAYFUL PRINCESS :

A bright teal color that really pop! No shimmer, no glitter just an ordinary nail polish. But for the color, i do really think this is a fun summer color. This color is easy to work with, because the consistency and the pigmentation is just perfect. one coat and the color paid off!

SALLY HANSEN TEXTURED NAIL POLISH :

SUGAR COAT TEXTURED # SWEETIE

A yellow yolk color that when it dries, it creates the icing-like textures on your nail. Interesting! but it takes time to dry and a little bit messy to apply. At first, it seems like the consistency is very watery, thats why it hard to work with, unless you apply a thin layer first and then the second layer after. They have pastel color collections and some pop color on this collections. Find them here.
Please do not eat your nail after you apply this nail polish... =D

FUZZY COAT #WOOL LITE :

It looks like you have a wool coat on your nail!lol..
This Fuzzy coat nail polish contains those tiny bar glitter that looks like a wool fabrics particle. some other collection from this line has different colors of the bar glitters in one bottle. It takes time to dry perfectly, but it is build-able. You can create full cover wool nails or just a simple wool coat effects.

For now, it is kinda hard to find this collections online, Target sold it for only period of time, but they sold out very fast...

I went to the drugstore(s) the other day and here what i picked up :

 Been looking for a lipgloss recently, since i don't really have many collection of the lipgloss products.

Revlon super Lustrous Lipgloss

Maybelline color sensational High Shine Lipgloss

Hard Candy Lip Def lip laquer

Fell in love with this color from the first time i saw this coral color. Staying power at least 4 to 5 hours and then the shine will fade away. But i love the non-sticky feels on the lips of this lipgloss!

 They called it Lip Def because it should make a fuller looking lips with a high shine that comes from the shimmery effects of this lipgloss. A little bit sticky feeling on the lips, but it is not bad at all. Wearing it with the lipstick would be more intense looking than wearing it alone, since the nude color of this collection is a little bit sheer.

I love the pigmentation of this Maybelline color sensational high-shine lip gloss, but the lasting power is not that strong. 2 hours later after applying this, i would notice the shine gone away but, the color still there.

Summer is almost here...sunlight, hot temperatures, tanned skin, beaches, shorts, bikinis..and ice cream yum!=D

So, here are (my) guide to summer beauty.. enjoy!

Face/Body care products :

Instead of thick foundie, try to replace it with BB, CC or even tinted moisturizer. Sweating under the hot temperatures would melt the foundations and creates a cakey look on the face, it would also block the pores and creates a blotchy look on the skin. BB or CC or even tinted moisturizers are lighter than foundation formula, therefore, it allows your skin breathe easily, leaves a natural looking face even though it is all covered up. It also does a lot of benefits on the skin than foundations. Some Asian beauty company have the waterproof formula for BB cream. Try The Face Shop Waterproof BB.

Josie Maran 100% pure Argan oil

I love mixing my (SPF) body lotion with Josie Maran Argan oil to create a glowing looking skin. But, if you dont like oil residue on the skin too much, try Garnier Triple Nutrition Dry oil. You can use it on the face, hair and even the body. One product with multi benefits from Olive oil, Avocado oil and Shea. Looking for the moisturizer that also help creates the tan looking skin but with SPF protections? Try Jergens Natural Glow SPF 20. 

Do not forget about your lips, try Nivea A kiss of Cherry Fruity lip care SPF 10 before applying lipstick. Since they rarely covered and constantly exposed to sun damage, you might want to protect your lips as well..

Loose powder absorbs oil better than pressed powder. It creates more natural look on the face. But keep in mind : Pressed powder is good for Dry skin, Loose powder is good for Oily skin. Always remember,  Summer is all about having fun under the weather, try as much as you can to look naturally under the sun!

Tips : Refresh your face once a while during the day or before the touch up, my favorite face spray is Evian Spray Brumisateur Natural Mineral water.

Hair products : 

Try to use less heat on the hair, the weather is hot enough for your hair anyway. Beach hair is always sexy for the summer. Create a friendly waves using roller and spray the Beach hair spray product which contains the salt water to hold the waves! I like L'oreal Everstyle Texture series Beach waves spray .The result is more natural than using the hot roller.

Another tips : Sleeping with the messy bun! spray a little bit dry shampoo on it to give a little bit volume or Beach spray product and you wake up with sexy bed hair in the next morning!

I rarely using hot tools to create the waves on my hair, i always sleep with a messy bun at night and i always wake up with natural waves in the morning!=D

Your Eyes need a protection too :

UVA/UVB are not friendly for your eyes area. You could try to protect the eyes wearing hats if you do not like wearing sunglasses. But, it still not enough, UVA/UVB could create the ugly damages to your eyes such as cataracts, eyelid cancers and even blindness. Squinting your eyes also could create a wrinkle!So, say big no-no for not protecting your eyes from the sun rays.

Wear a good (fashion) sunglasses that has a UV blocked lenses or with a good tinted glasses, also, find what is perfect for you based on your personality..
